The general education curriculum is delivered to students with diverse learning needs. Student difficulties with the general education curriculum are addressed through effective instruction techniques and through assessments that target individual student's progress in meeting academic standards. Educators use assessment results to plan and organize curriculum and then deliver instructional approaches for achieving the most favorable student performance.

Depending on the level of difficulty a student has with the general education curriculum, benchmark interventions, strategic interventions, and intensive level interventions can be implemented to help the student succeed.
